I’ve been following The Cool Kids for awhile now but they haven’t been in the spotlight much, so I decided to do a musical spotlight for them. The Cool Kids are a hip-hop duo consisting of “Mikey Rocks” and “Chuck Inglish” based from the Mid-West. Mikey is known for his rapping while Chuck is known [...]
Although I’ll admit I don’t listen to Aaliyah a whole lot, I would like to pay my respects to her musical career. She has been through a whole lot- being a model, singer, and even an actress. She has even worked with today’s music artists such as Timbaland, Missy Elliott, & R. Kelly for her [...]
This next musical spotlight is for a huge underrated rapper from DC named Wale. Wale was first heard from after the songs “Nike Boots” & “Chillin’ Ft. Lady Gaga” back in 08-09. Since then he has released a bunch of mixtapes and freestyles on youtube where he displays his rap flows on every song. He [...]
So I was over at my friend’s house and then stumbled upon Madvillain – Accordion. After listening to it, it brings me back to the old days when I was bumpin’ his cds all day everyday. Madvillainy, The Mouse & the Mask, Born Like This, MM.. food, anything from Stones Throw was the sickest. After [...]

This is a new remix for the song: Club Can’t Handle Me. This is a remix by David Guetta, who also produced the original song. It’s a dance/upbeat song for everyone who also likes electro. The remix cuts out most of the rapping/singing so it’s pretty good. Check it out & retweet/share on facebook if you like it. Download and leave opinions below!
Flo Rida – Club Can’t Handle Me [David Guetta Remix]
2 for Tuesday today with double-header Lupe & Wale, two of the real rappers left in the game. Newest Lupe prob from his next album: Food & Liquor 2, LupEnd, Lasers? Haven’t heard much from Lupe in awhile so good to hear from him again after a long hiatus. Can’t wait for his next album also. This track is titled “Go To Sleep” and is pretty sick. Download straight from the soundcloud.
Lupe Fiasco – Go To Sleep
The next track is a new one from Wale, one of the most underrated rappers in the game. It is just Wale jumping on Gyptians “Hold Yuh” instrumental & delivering a few bars.
Today marks Kobe’s 32nd Birthday so congrats to him & family. Kobe is a 5x NBA champion, 2x Finals MVP, 13x NBA All Star, 8x All-NBA First team and 8x All-Defensive First team. One of the best shooting guards today in the NBA, Kobe has never failed to impress anyone, ever since being drafted 13th overall by the Charlotte Hornets back in 1996. Kobe at the time was passed on by 76ers due to them picking up Allen Iverson instead. Today, the Lakers remain as the league’s top teams due to his leadership and we thank you that he remained a Laker all these years. Good luck and hopefully we 3-Peat this year!
This is a mashup from a mixtape of North Carolina producer Tim Gunter. The mixtape, Dance To This, is a collection of dance-friendly remixes and mash-ups that bumps, bounces and grinds in all the right ways. This is one of the better mashups I’ve listened to lately so I decided to blog about it. Mashed together pretty beautifully, and I give props to Tim Gunter. Take a listen and remember you can dl straight from my soundcloud.
Deadmau5, Drake, Birdman, and Lil Wayne – Ghosts ‘N Money
Atmosphere just released a new song to kick off the tour of the same name called “To All My Friends.” If you haven’t listened to Atmosphere before, give them a listen, because they have been active since 1993. Their music has “been had” good and they’re one of the OG’s left. Listen & leave comments below.
Song of the day for Today, Friday Aug 20th is the POWER remix from the trio Kanye, Jay-Z, & Swizz Beats. I have been personally waiting for this remix for awhile now after seeing Kanye’s twitpic with Kobe, Kanye, Mos Def, and Swizz but sadly Mos isn’t on the song. I was also wondering how can they make a song already perfect, better – and this is the answer. Share your comments & opinions below and download straight from the soundcloud (256 kbps).
Power [Remix] (Ft. Jay-Z & Swizz Beatz)
Bonus: Parody video from Youtube user freddiew.
Pretty funny video, making fun of the original from Kanye. I suggest that you watch this in HD on youtube.
The song for today Thursday, Aug 19th will be a hot new track from Kid Cudi feat. Kanye West. The track fuses together a sick ass hook and beat that makes you wanna bop your head the whole time. The “don’t care” raps from Kanye and Cudi are even sicker when put to the ominous beat. Taken straight from the G.O.O.D. music mixtape, this collabo is way different then “Make Her Say.” The dark ruggish theme is perfect for the beat and this song is must-have for all the Mr. Ragers out there. Peep it and leave comments/opinions about the song in the comments section. Press the “ARROW” to download the song to your computer. Hands, High! & we all be wylin’ cause we young. Make sure to check back everyday for new music.
Kid Cudi – Wylin’ Cause I’m Young (Ft. Kanye West)
After coming back home, I looked through all of DOOM’s music again and got blown away from his rhymes and felt a need to blog about it. His raps were in the rawest form and even shows intelligence like no other rapper. Everything put together is just musical heaven. The raps, the beats, the instruments, the rhymes, the samples, the puns, the style, the feel, everything about it is just right. I was even thinking about picking up the vinyl version of Madvillainy because it was THAT good. This right here is REAL hip hop, no one can match DOOM’s flow and clever puns. I know I like a lot of music artists today including Kanye, Cudi, Wale, electro peeps, but DOOM is on another level. Putting DOOM together with Madlib forming Madvillain was the best thing ever. Hands down best duo ever, better than Outkast or anyone else, call me crazy or not – I don’t care. Give Madvillain or MF DOOM a chance and he will blow you away. Even check out DANGERDOOM (MF DOOM x Danger Mouse from Gnarls Barkley) cause those beats are sick also. You can also recognize DOOM’s work from Adult Swim shows such as The Boondocks or Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Check him out and be sure to listen to MF DOOM.
